Compassion for Pets, NFP is dedicated to educating pet guardians and veterinarians about the benefits of providing supportive hospice care for terminally ill pets as an alternative to prematurely euthanizing animals who are diagnosed as terminally ill.
Our experience has shown us that when faced with a terrminal diagnosis for our pets that there are options available for both the pet and their guardians. Understanding these options can in some cases prolong the comfort and life span of our beloved friends and enhance the significance of the gift of that time.
Our purpose is to educate pet guardians about the availability of patient and family focused support and comfort care for terminally ill companion animals and to make this care accessible to all who could benefit from this type of care. In addition, we are working to promote the value and availability of hospice as a recognized and relevant discipline within veterinary medicine.
As of March 23, 2007 our website is under construction. Please check back in the next few weeks to see our new information. In the mean time you may contact us! |
